Luna Paige  brings her music to  Cape Town. Luna has released 5 albums and has performed at numerous SA festivals (Up the Creek, Woordfees, KKNK, Splashy Fen, Grahamstown, Innibos, White Mountain, Oppikoppi, Aardklop etc) and abroad (Namibia, Mozambique & Netherlands). She will be performing songs from her various albums and might throw in a new song or 2.

“Luna takes you on a hypnotic and moving voyage with the backing of accomplished musicians…Her vocals are sultry and soulful with a hidden power contained in a petite frame. ”

 - Het Barfly; SA Music

“If Luna were from New York, she’d be the latest rage!”

 - Diane Donovon - World Discoveries. Net

"Listening to Luna Paige perform with her long time friends is the cure to any bad mood. Do try and catch her when she is next in town."

 - Samantha Orange, What's on in Cape Town
Luna Paige started her career in 1999 when she was introduced to the SA music scene as participant in the compilation project Eve: Women in the Garden of Song. Since then she has released 5 albums. Luna (her self-titled first release, 2003) secured her her first performance at Oppikoppi and numerous well known venues in SA. 2 of the tracks off this album were used in popular travel TV series "Going Nowhere Slowly".

With the release of her second album, Missing Pieces (2005) Luna gained further recognition with songs such as "Somewhere beautiful" which reached Nr 1 on OFM and was playlisted on numerous other radio stations across SA.

Luna released her third album in 2009 (Wonderful life). Her song "Restless Soul" reached the local top 5 of MK's charts and song "Won't be leaving you behind" was playlisted on numerous major and smaller radio stations. On this album Luna also collaborated for the first time with artists Gerald Clark and Chris Chameleon. 2009 was also the birth year of the popular collaborative "Lovemore Show" with Gerald Clark. It is also in this year that Luna took part in the Afrikaans music theatre piece, "Elders aan Diens" with actresses Frieda van den Heever and Nicole Holm (under the director Albert Maritz). This production toured to numerous festivals and theatres and was nominated for a Kanna award at KKNK.

In 2012 Luna Paige released her first Afrikaans album and DVD. It was a unique project in the sense that all songs were inspired by Afrikaans short stories and novels as written by some of SA's most acclaimed writers / novelists. This introduction into the Afrikaans music scene opened many doors for this songwriter. She was invited to perform at numerous literary events and festivals. This album also established Luna Paige as an exemplary songwriter, composer and independent artist. It was this album that took Luna on her first journey to the Netherlands, where she performed at the Festival voor Afrikaans (2013), The International Singer-Songwriter Festival (2014) and where she will be performing at Herman van Veen's "Harlekijn Festival & Dag van Zuid-Afrika" in August 2015. Her travels to the Netherlands will also include some extra solo performances in the Netherlands.

2014 saw the release of Luna's fifth album, Borders & Beyond. In this album Luna experimented with country sounds with popular songs such as Illusions and Keep on Keeping on. Once again Luna wrote a duet for herself and Gerald Clark and included it in the album. "One Day" forms part of the Lovemore Show. Songs like "Rollercoaster" and "Beyond Borders" were playlisted on radio in 2014.

In 2015 Luna introduced a new Afrikaans production - Die Ander Konsert. Here Luna invited singer-songwriters she admires to join forces with her in an Afrikaans music project entailing songs from an array of music genres. The show made its debut at Woordfees 2015 and received great publicity and reaction at KKNK 2015. Fans can expect a short concert series in October 2015. Die Ander Konsert will be hosted in Stellenbosch, Robertson, Durbanville and one other area which will be announced soon.

Luna is spending time on the composition of a theme song for a dark comedy featuring Casper de Vries and Tobi Cronje. The film is written by and directed by David Moore and filming starts in August 2015. Luna will also appear in this film. This will be Luna's debut appearance in a film and her introduction to the world of film music ( a dream she has been holding onto for many years).

Luna is keeping performances to a minimum this year since she is spending time on being creative and writing new material. Besides her travels to the Netherlands, fans can check Luna in the Lovemore Show at Die Boer (with Gerald Clark) this coming Saturday and at Oppikoppi (9-11 August).

Fans can attend Die Ander Konsert in October and check out Luna's website for details on 2 small tours taking place in September and November (details to be announced soon).

Expect some brand new music and projects in 2016!
