Take every mixed tape, heartbreak, high school crush, first love, crazy-in-the-moment decision, stupid mistake and whirlwind fling you know, mush it with a bit of country, folk and pop. Add a sweet voice, a bit of acoustic guitar and some beats. Stick in the record player and press play. The result? Singer/songwriter Lexi Frame and her set of Girly Pop songs that will either get your toes tapping, eyes watering or your mind wandering back to a stolen kiss.

Lexi was mesmerising, we had a great bottle of wine and a bite to eat, all in all a very enjoyable evening.

It was so cool. I've recently discovered AB which is right around the corner from the office and am enjoying the vibe. Loved the intimacy of the space upstairs and Lexi was awesome.

I have to say that for Alexander Bar Upstairs, I was a little disappointed. I enjoyed the music, and am very excited to see a young performer who I wish only the best, but felt like I wandered into a very family affair (which was very weird!) Perhaps if Alexander Bar is intending to host such events in the future, alerting the public to this in some way might be wise (although maybe the ticket price should have been adequate warning!) PS: If there was anyway to get a message to Lexi, I'd ask her to leave her mum at home next time (or at least to tell her mum to limit the heckling!)and not to not tell stories because she's told them before!
