Jodi is horrified that her building of small apartments is using on average 350 l per unit per day of water and 150 l per day on sanitation. She can’t write 150 compelling words on why we need to have this conversation, but we do. And it’s not just about why and how to save water, but why and how to use this crisis to build new ways of living, building, communicating, and working as active citizens in a more resilient city. Jodi feels like she’s in an active citizenry and responsive state bootcamp, only this is no drill - the water crisis has galvanized new networks and thinking, and left others behind. We’ll be talking about the lessons being learnt and how to use them in the next crisis – of which there are many sure to come.
