The story of one woman who didn’t quite make it. Based on icons such as Marilyn Monroe and Jean Harlow, this tragic, dark comedy explores the tension between public adoration and private angst. An actress caught between the nun she imagined herself to be spiritually, and the whore the world saw her as.

"A scorching death rattle, the last symphonic outcry of a soiled, sequined soul." - The New York Times on the original production
Christopher Weare, whilst striving for a lighting design nomination, is presently teaching at AFDA. Recent productions include Sound of Laughter, Grounded and Cowboy Mouth. Chris Received the Fleur du Cap Life Time Achievement Award in 2012.

Between the creative combination of music, lights and the small theatre space, a great story and topped off with the thoroughly talented actresses, this was truly a sublime production, I thoroughly enjoyed the show, well done!
