The award-winning ROLSKA Productions presents the romantic comedy cabaret sensation: A (Sorta) Love Story. Studded with musical theatre favourites by the likes of Cole Porter, Rodgers and Hammerstein and Stephen Sondheim, the show will have your toes tapping as it looks at love from all angles. Timeless classics include I Get A Kick Out of You, Some Enchanted Evening, A Man and a Woman.

Whether you’re 25 or 75, it makes no difference: A (Sorta) Love Story looks at that special feeling that lifts you up and takes you down – but there’s nothing to do but give into it! Come and fall in love all over again…  Presented by ROLKSA Productions, the Ovation–award winning team behind crowd-pleasing hits such as I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Coward & Cole and Edges and You Bet Your Life! this show delighted audiences at the National Arts Festival in 2015 and now runs at Alexander Bar for a limited season.
The show features Amy Trout who shot to fame overnight when she was cast in David Kramer and Taliep Petersen’s Kat and the Kings. Her performance as Lucy Dixon earned her rave reviews as well as a Fleur Du Cap Theatre Award nomination for Best Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Musical and a Naledi Theatre Award nomination as Best Newcomer of the season. She has also performed in productions of Macbeth, Fiddler on the Roof and Gigi.

Also appearing is David Fick. After graduating with a Master of Arts in Theatre and Performance from UCT, David has performed musicals like Pasek and Paul’s Edges, the Stephen Sondheim musical Marry Me a Little, Cape Town Opera’s Lloyd Webber and Rice Spring Bouquet and in cabarets like Affirmation and Seasons of Love. He is also the composer and librettist for two original musicals, Over the Rainbow and House of Shadows, and wrote a third, You Bet Your Life!, with Roland Perold.
