The story begins on a stormy night, when Girl arrives at the last safe place she knows, hoping to find solace in the grandmother she dimly remembers. Instead, Gran has shut herself away, terrified of the things that lie outside.'

amazing show, captivating, thrilling and a whole lot more

I think it is the 3rd or 4th time I have seen it – so that is a good indicator. I love that Margot strangles her son at the end. My terror: I am absolutely terrified of the actors getting hurt!! That table is so tiny. There is so much sand – it seems so easy to slip off that chair. Beyond that very enjoyable and resonates with the truth of being assaulted and the left over feelings as beautifully expressed by the daughter and script.

It’s was powerful and thought provoking. Brilliant actors and so passionately presented. Bravo👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

This play had some powerful moments. It made very good use of the minimal props and lighting to evoke the atmosphere of solitude and fear by the sea. I liked the presence of the "creature", although I wasnt sure whether it was meant to be symbolic or real (perhaps that was the point). I thought the ending was unlikely: a) that the grandmother would suddenly decide to strangle her son and b) that he wouldnt be able to overpower her. There is room for more light and shade in the acting of the old woman - she seemed always to be acting at a pitch. The role of the young girl was well performed.

At the edge of the light is a wonderfully crafted piece of cultish suspense. Kept me gripped throughout. Actors gave generously of themselves and with clear direction. The creature was phenomenal! Very freaky indeed
