Inspired by the likes of Ray Lamontagne, Damien Rice and Conor Oberst, Brynn is an Alternative Folk band, led by New Zealand vocalist and songwriter Jules Terea.  Gathering a loyal following through their various performances across Cape Town (Nu-Breed Festival at the Cape Town City Hall, The Cape Town Fringe Festival, Straight No Chaser, Alma Cafe) Brynn delivers powerfully honest performances that linger in the hearts of their audiences long after their shows have ended and with the incredibly talented singer/songwriter Jasmine minter opening the show, it's going to be a truly special evening. Forming in September 2014, Brynn quickly recorded a live EP called "Seeds". A collection a Rock and Folk songs written at their first few performances. Over 2015 Brynn played a many shows around the city, most frequently the Armchair Theatre and Octopus Gardens'. Constantly developing their sound and style. Brynn's vocalist performed a few shows in New Zealand early in 2016 and discovered new inspiration. Since July Brynn has performed at the Nu-Breed Festival, Alexander Bar, Straight No Chaser, Armchair Theatre, Barleycorn, The Alma Cafe, The Bombshelter, Blah Blah Bar and other venues around the city, had various live videos filmed and recorded and released a four track EP entitled "The Live EP". Brynn is currently working on an studio EP which will follow into their debut record. Excited and inspired, Brynn is growing more and more every day and loving every minute of it!

Jules Terea has performed around Cape Town regularly since immigrating to South Africa from New Zealand four years ago. Mostly playing in small and intimate venues around the city (Down South, Alma Cafe, Obviously Armchair etc). Jules has had the creative freedom and space to develop his musical abilities and understanding extensively over the years. Jules claims that Brynn has been his most personally fulfilling and exciting project yet.

Joy Millar has been drumming for bands on the Cape Town music scene for over 8 years, namely the likes of "Highly Strung", Ripcord (a regular at the Hermanus Whale Festival) and award winning Hotel Iris who headlined the 2014 Barleycorn music festival.

Grahamstown local Rob Fowler has had extensive musical training in the past and has played trumpet and bass guitar for various bands and groups over the years. Most recently "Black Rabbit", before joining Brynn in 2014.

Another fantastic performance by Brynn, it nearly got us dancing in the back row! I also enjoyed the addition of Jasmine Minter as an opening act.
