White Guilt is a play about wrongs and rites of passages so dark you'll need your best friend to hold you through the night. Good times gone bad. Bromance gone badass. Theatre gone gangsta. Haters gon’ hate.
White Guilt is a drama laced with comedy. It's entertainment laced with drugs. It's irreverence littered with meaning. It's about friendship, the landmark moments in our lives, and how we need each other just to survive. It's about bromance.

Justin Nurse is the 't-shirt guy', who took on SAB in the Constitutional Court over his now infamous 'Black Labour' t-shirt and won. Justin has written this play. Oliver Booth is the star of the show, bringing a gravitas that belies his belligerent youth. Schalk Bezuidenhout tries to steal the show, because he's a kleptomaniacal comedian like that. This is one show you won't want to miss.

I really enjoyed White Guilt, even if the subject matter was quite heavy. I have a personal bias as I know Justin Nurse and know a lot of the back story of the play. I thought the actors were excellent and even though I saw the first show and thus everything wasn't quite perfect yet, it's clear that the play (structure-wise) will only get better with more runs. I reckon after Grahamstown Festival it will be way more polished and I would like to watch it again at Alexander Upstairs later in 2014, so please do book them again. Thanks, Toast
