Home town? I was born and raised in Cape Town, Khayelitsha.
Tell us a little more about your show? Astonish is about a young black magician from Khayelitsha who fall in love with magic at an early age of 10 years. He shares some of his astonishing moments as a magician and youngster from the dust townships. Through magic he achieved a lot and recognition and respect to many.
And what’s next on the cards for you? Creating a second show.
And the project you’re dreaming of? Taking the show ‘Astonish’ on a country tour.
How did you get into theatre? I studied at the College of Magic in Claremont where my love of magic and theatre developed.
Dinner with any two figures from history: who would you invite and what would you serve them? Harry Houdini and Albert Einstein and I’d serve them Umnqusho
Favorite spot in Cape Town (besides Alexander Bar, obviously)? Groova Park
What excites you about theatre? It’s always new, creative and inspiring
What mistakes have you made and learned the most from? Not practising my material well enough before going on stage.
